Korean remake of the American “The Good Wife” about a husband, Lee Tae-Joon, who works as a successful prosecutor and his future appears bright, but he gets arrested for corruption in a political scandal.
His wife, Kim Hye-kyung, worked as an attorney prior to their marriage, now resumes her career after a 13 year hiatus. She begins to find her true identity.
Five episodes in and I am happy, enjoying it so far. Though I wish they had picked someone who looked older to play Lee Tae-joon. Yoo Ji-tae, in real life, is 40 years old but he looked young here. Some bags under his eyes and a bit of grey at the side would be good. After all, he is a prosecutor and they are usually underpaid, stressed out civil servants.
Jeon Do-Yeon is a good pick to play Kim Hye-Kyung. Plain Jane, typical brainy type who is not ugly but not pretty either.
